NOAA Imagery
Allan Eustis, director of NOAA's Environmental Visualization Program,
demonstrated how NOAA imagery and imagery infused with other environmental
sets are created during last month's Project Maury Summer Workshop. The
visualization program is part of the National Environmental Satellite,
Date and Information Service.
Project Maury has been developed by the American Meteorological SoIciety
to help teachers better understand the factors affecting ocean life, such
as climate, sea levels and hurricanes and other severe weather events.
NOAA imagery is used widely on television and to illustrate presentations
around the globe.
