Space
Weather Week, at the Space
Environment Center in Boulder, will give a range of users
the chance to learn more about solar storms and how they can
affect people, electric power, satellites, communications,
and navigation. NOAA presenters will include Ernie Hildner,
Howard Singer, Vic Pizzo, and Rod Vireck. There will be a
close look at last year's July 14 "Bastille Day event" when
a solar storm hit a NASA satellite carrying NOAA equipment
and interrupted operations. Barbara Poppe, barbara.poppe@noaa.gov;
