Special Olympics will benefit from the two-mile 2001 Law Enforcement Torch Run beginning at 11:30 AM. Walkers, joggers or runners can join in this 16th annual event developed by the Commerce Department's Office of Security. $15.00 covers registration, t-shirt, and picnic lunch at the Ft. McNair destination. Starting point is the U.S. Capitol Building (West Terrace). You can support this event even if you don't show up!

26th Annual Fish Fry! Always a big hit! Great Cajun music. Intriguing door prizes. Educational resources. Lots of guest chefs from terrific DC area restaurants. All at the Commerce Department, where about 100 NOAA volunteers will welcome over 900 guests, including NOAA employees, constituents and Congressional representatives and their Capitol Hill staff.
